Collage
a musical exploration of two places
As the pandemic continues to affect lives across the world, I found myself back in Wales, United Kingdom through the month of December 2021. I spent time reflecting on ways that the New York City energy has infiltrated into my music. Having grown up in Wales, a rural country with an abundance of beautiful green space, I often find myself in a cultural dichotomy where art provides a creative intersection between these two, contrasting environments. Collage is a musical exploration of these two places I have called home; flourishing, energetic passages are woven into long, relaxed, lyrical lines as tales are interspersed.
