a stormy climax
Commissioned by Revolve Dance Project, this work was originally intended as a ballet, written in collaboration with choreographer Emily Adams for premiere in Rhode Island, 2024. The work begins with a mysterious electronic track and slowly fades into acoustic performance, and then back into electronics. The electronic portion is optional and the piece can also function as a piano trio or piano trio plus drum kit. The work takes us on a journey from patient beginnings to a stormy climax; evoking the uncontrollably, humbling, powerful force of mother nature.
