Sidekick
A brotherly dynamic
Sidekick is a character piece, originally written for multi-award winning guitar duo, Miles and Ziggy Johnston. When I was approached by the Johnston brothers as student’s at The Juilliard School, I knew I had to create a fun, narrative work to satire their brotherly dynamic. They make fun of each but need each other; they compete with each other but are stronger together. The piece is the Title track of Ziggy and Miles’ new album released with Move Records, 2024.
